AS FEATURED BY
meet media mom liz
Expert in children’s digital play and learning from screens.
Hi, I’m Liz! I completed my Ph.D. in Human Development and Family Studies with a minor in Educational Psychology at UW-Madison. After working in hospital, non-profit, and academic settings researching children’s cognitive development and digital play, I’m enjoying practicing what I know with my 3-year-old and 1-year-old sons. I grew up in Baltimore and lived in the Midwest for almost a decade, but my husband Pete and I are currently trying out a winter-free life in Georgia.
MEET MEDIA MOM ROXY
Expert in parent-child screen use and educational media design.
I’m Roxy! I was born and raised in Wisconsin and am still braving the northern winters with my spouse Shawn, twin toddler daughters, baby boy, and Samoyed. I obtained my undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral degrees in Human Development and Family Studies from UW-Madison. I extensively studied family media use, parent child-interactions with screens, and high-quality educational media design. With a background in education, I was previously an instructor at a university and research director at a preschool laboratory.
